For a fun night, book tickets to a Broadway show or a ballet performance at Lincoln Center.
On a sunny day, strolling through Central Park is a must and one of our favorite things to do when in the city.
There’s a reason we always find ourselves back in New York City.
No matter how many times we visit, the energy, the endless things to explore, and the excitement of the city never get old.
It’s our go-to for a quick mother-daughter weekend getaway, and it never fails to deliver.

On our last trip, we spent hours wandering the Musée d’Orsay and walking around in Le Marais.

Madrid holds a special place in our hearts. It’s not just a beautiful city, it’s like a second home.
I lived there for a year, and ever since, it’s been a place we return to again and again.
Madrid is a wonderful destination for mothers and daughters who enjoy culture, vibrant street life, and incredible food.
Explore the city’s world-famous art museums like the Prado and Reina Sofía, then take a walk through El Parque del Retiro or the royal gardens.
Tapas hopping in local neighborhoods is a great way to try new things and find new restaurants.
There’s something comforting about Madrid: the late dinners, the laughter in the streets, the warmth of the people.
Our perfect day in Madrid includes visiting an art museum, exploring new neighborhoods, and ending with tapas and sangria at a local spot.

Milan might not always be at the top of the list for first-time travelers to Italy, but it absolutely deserves a place among the best mother-daughter trips.
If you love fashion, art, and a bit of luxury, Milan will feel like your playground.
While it’s known as Italy’s fashion capital, the city also offers cultural experiences, elegant cafés, and stylish neighborhoods that are perfect for exploring together.
Start your visit with a walk through the grand Piazza del Duomo and take time to admire the breathtaking cathedral.
Then visit the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II for designer shopping or to simply enjoy the atmosphere under the glass roof.
You shouldn’t miss “The Last Supper” or a tour of the contemporary art museums.
One of the things we loved most about Milan was just walking through the city together.
Taking Gelato breaks is at the top of our list while visiting Milan.
We also made sure to catch a soccer match at the iconic San Siro Stadium, and it was an unforgettable experience. If you’re a sports fan, it’s definitely worth adding to your itinerary.

Japan is unlike any other place we’ve visited, and that’s exactly why it’s so special.
It’s a country where ancient traditions and modern cities exist side by side.
Each region of Japan has something to offer.
Tokyo is great for shopping and exploring neighborhoods like Harajuku and Ginza.
In Kyoto, you can stroll through temples, attend a tea ceremony, or wander the Arashiyama Bamboo Grove.
Slower-paced destinations like Hakone or Nara allow for quiet walks, hot springs, and scenic views.
Some of our favorite mother-daughter moments happened in the quieter corners of Japan: walking through temples and Japanese gardens.
My personal favorite was visiting the Hiroshima Peace Memorial and going to an orchestra performance in Tokyo.

Morocco is an excellent choice for mother-daughter travelers who are looking for something different.
When we visited Morocco, we chose a two-week guided tour that allowed us to fully enjoy the experience without stressing about logistics.
It also gave us an added sense of safety, which made the trip even more relaxing.
Morocco offers a variety of experiences, warm hospitality, and endless opportunities for bonding through exploration.
In Marrakech and Fez, we wandered through souks, sipped mint tea on rooftop terraces, and found calm in the chaos of the Medina.
We also visited a traditional hammam for a spa experience unlike any other, and we even got henna tattoos together.
Outside Marrakech, an overnight trip the the Sahara desert is a must as well as a visit to the coastal city of Essaouira.
We left this country with full hearts and suitcases stuffed with spices, straw bags, and a few too many scarves.
Morocco is perfect for mothers and daughters who are ready for something different, and who want to come home with stories worth telling.

If you’re looking for a trip that feels like a snow globe come to life, visiting Europe’s Christmas markets might be just the thing.
These markets offer a warm, nostalgic atmosphere and are perfect for slow winter walks, handmade gifts, and seasonal treats.
We’ve visited Christmas markets in Vienna, Strasbourg, Colmar, and Munich, and each one offered its own charm.
Whether it was the hand-carved ornaments, the freshly baked gingerbread, or the local bands playing carols, every moment felt like something out of a holiday movie.
Sip mulled wine, sample local pastries, and browse rows of artisan crafts.
Many markets also offer skating rinks, carousels, and festive concerts, adding to the holiday magic.
We found that this type of trip brought out a different side of travel. It was less about checking off sites and more about enjoying the moment together.
It’s ideal for quality time, bundled in scarves and surrounded by twinkling lights.

It was one of our very first trips together, back when I was still in middle school.

On our trip, we stayed a couple of nights at Les Sources de Caudalie, in the countryside, and it was worth the treat!
Picture soaking in a warm tub after a vineyard walk, sipping on a local red with views of the vines.
We got massages, tried the vinotherapy treatments, and spent our evenings enjoying slow, beautiful meals.
It was indulgent in the best way, a reward for everything we do and are for each other.
