We highly recommend using Google Maps for your drive to avoid missing any exits and to ensure a smooth ride.

Below are easy directions just in case you don’t have data or signal.

  1. Rent a Car: If you’re flying into San Juan, you can rent a car from Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport (SJU) or from various rental agencies in the city.
  2. Take PR-52 South: Start your journey by heading south on PR-52, a major highway that will take you through Caguas and Ponce.
  3. Continue to PR-2 West: Once you reach Ponce, merge onto PR-2 West. This road will take you along the southern coast.
  4. Exit onto PR-116: After about 20 miles on PR-2, take the exit for PR-116 towards Guánica. Follow the signs to the town center.

We recommend arriving early to avoid the extreme heat while hiking. The park opens at 7:30 am and closes at 4:00 pm, but keep in mind that the Dry Forest is closed on Mondays.
